Hey there! I’m Shirley Justice-Kelly, beaming in from the heart of the Windy City (yep, Chicago). As a sci-fi geek, I thrive on exploring the ever-expanding universe of design, technology, and human interaction.
My background is a bit of an odyssey, starting with fine arts, drawing, and painting, then venturing into graphic and interactive design. Like many designers, I started with humble missions (yes, even creating stamps for cardboard boxes), but I quickly learned that every project has a lesson to teach (even the small ones). With over a decade in the design realm and a Master’s degree in Design and Media, I’ve evolved into a Brand, UI, and UX Designer & Developer—some even call me a “Unicorn” 🦄 (not so rare these days, but still magical). This means I use my super telepathic link to technology to craft purpose-driven, visually compelling experiences that engage, inform, and inspire.
I’m hopelessly devoted to the Lean UX Design process, where research, usability, visual storytelling, and human psychology come together to create seamless, intuitive experiences. I believe design isn’t just about making things look good—it’s about creating real emotional connections between users and brands. Through in-depth research, I make sure every element of a brand’s persona is translated into visually dynamic and interactive storytelling.
For me, UX (User Experience) and IDX (Interactive Design Experience) aren’t just industry buzzwords. They’re the heartbeat of every project. It’s about the intangible feeling a user gets when engaging with a design. The human factor drives everything I do—because at the end of the day, great design isn’t just seen, it’s felt.
So, whether I’m crafting pixel-perfect interfaces, fine-tuning seamless interactions, teaching and mentoring our next generation of creative gems, or diving deep into research-driven design, I’m always on a mission to turn ideas into immersive digital experiences.
